My brothers' friend Kari is a very talented aspiring photographer (she's only 16!!!) and took these lovely portraits. I'm so happy with how they turned out. No portrait studio could have captured the love and happiness we all were experiencing at this magic moment on the Bermuda Run golf course (where my mom's house is).

MOMosas
It's when mom gets to enjoy a mimosa. :) Went to Outlaws for brunch this morning with Daddy and wolfie. He loved getting some sun on the outdoor patio and listening to all the birds nearby. It was a beautiful beginning to a relaxing afternoon. We got home and daddy took the reigns and entertained wolfie while I ran around and cleaned up, organized closets and cabinets (yes that is my idea of heaven). Eric had him playing on his lap, on his piano, we even dragged out the "Johnny Jumper" that we got as a gift from aunt Betty and BOY did he have fun! He is going to love that activity I can tell. He was so tuckered out, he collapsed into daddy's arms. We all got a nice nap while the house was so quiet and wolfie was in dreamland. We've really gotten so much use out of the recliner that dad and Jeanne got us, I can't imagine functioning without it. Off to the market to get sides to bring to Scott and Christines house for dinner. Aaahhhhh what a perfect day, I'm truly blessed.

Over The River and Through the Woods. . .
To grandmothers' house we go! I had such a great time visiting "Nana G" -- well, we haven't decided on a name yet but that one I thought was pretty cute. Needless to say, Wolfie stole my moms heart yet again. It was amazing to see how he too, melted in her arms. . . just as grandchildren do when their with their grandparents. I'm so fortune also to have seen the boys all dolled up for their senior prom! They looked so handsome, I'm so proud. I could go on and on about the trip, but pictures really say a thousand words. . .
(Also coming soon. . . the photoshoot we did with a very talented photographer friend of Barry's)

Silver Spoons
While visiting my mom in North Carolina, she gave me her small collection of baby spoons. I found them to be so charming I am inspired to keep my eyes our for more. Wouldn't this make a lovely decoration if displayed in a shadow box?
Easter Weekend
My brothers girlfriend, Lauren, was so sweet she invited the whole
family to spend Easter at her mothers home in Ojai. It was a beautiful
day spent with new friends, fabulous food (and I mean, FABULOUS), all in
the midst of the sunny gorgeously landscaped garden that Sally has
handcrafted for years. Eric, Wolfie, and I drove up with Dad and Jeanne in the "big car" where Wolfie slept the whole way up (and back for that matter) and was calm and lovely at the party. It was Wolfie's first Easter, and certainly one
to remember! If you noticed, yes Wolfie had three outfit changes. :)

Ah ha moment on being a mom
I realized that being a "good mom" is not about keeping your baby's nails perfectly groomed, cut, and cleaned at all times...being a good mom is looking down at his razor sharp long over due talons for nails (how DO baby finger nails get so much gunk under there?), and busting out your stealthy skills by holding sleeping baby in one arm, grabbing clippers out of bottom of the bag (in plane under seat in front of you) and clipping each finger one handed! Yes, it is possible to clip a baby's nails one handed because to be a good mom, you can't be bogged down by seemingly impossible scenarios. You have to just try, and make the best out if the situation you've been given. It might not be the prettiest job I've ever done but I made it work. :) love and warm fuzzies to any stealth moms out there reading this! Here's a funny pic of Wolfies mouth...the air in this plane is so dehydrating it have him a royal milk goatee!
Wolfie Gets His Wings
We're on our way to visit grandma in North Carolina! I purchased wifi for the plane so I'm able to blog as I fly!
Wolfie has been perfect this whole time. The TSA was very accommodating and courteous. I required a pat down in a closed room but I didn't mind. It was like getting a massage to calm my nerves. Haha. He woke up while waiting to board but the hum of the engines while taxiing the runway for takeoff put him right to sleep. While in the terminal i really do think he enjoyed All of the hustle and bustle. His eyes were So wide and he just sat still looking at All that ws going on around him. It's been an hour now and he's out like a like. I even managed to get him fed too! A couple sleep laughs even. Fingers crossed he doesn't end up like the other baby on board with us....screaming! Wolfie you make me proud. :)

Smells good mama...
I made a big batch of spaghetti sauce yesterday for dinner and munched on it next to wolfie while he played on the floor. The piping hot steam from the fragrant sauce caught Wolfies attention and he wouldn't stop staring at it and licking his lips! Haha!
I also found a great way to give wolfie a nice view while I got ready in the morning.
